PMAL 2009 Membership Types & Options

 

PMAL is proud to welcome new members at any time of the year.

During our membership renewal period (late November - early January), new members also have the option of choosing either the "Enhanced" or "Optimum" membership package in addition to the "Basic" package, or other appropriate member types listed below.  New members who join later in the year may pay a prorated membership depending on when they sign up.

Renewal memberships are available in three different membership packages.

The membership year ends December 31, and renewals for the following year are due by this date. 

The three different membership packages are outlined below.  Please review the options below and let us know if you have any questions.  They are based upon best value and an opportunity for cost savings.  PMAL offers Professional Development opportunities, ISM resources and certification, as well as local Supply Chain contacts and networking.

“BASIC” – 2009 MEMBERSHIP DUES:            $210.00

-  Annual Membership PMAL & ISM

         -  All Professional Development Meetings (the cost of the meals are not included)

 

“ENHANCED”2009 MEMBERSHIP DUES:    $270.00

                * A potential savings of up to 20% ($65+) over individual fees

         -    Annual Membership PMAL & ISM ($210 value)

-    25% All regular monthly Professional Development meetings & meals (up to $50 value)

-    50% off all PMAL Satellite Seminars during 2009 (up to $75 value)

         -    Additional 10% discount on every other PMAL sponsored seminar/event scheduled in 2009 

 

“OPTIMUM”2009 MEMBERSHIP DUES:      $350.00

                *  A potential savings of up to 37% ($208+) over individual fees

         -   Annual Membership PMAL & ISM ($210 value)

-   All regular monthly Professional Development meetings & meals (up to $198 value)

-   All PMAL Satellite Seminars during 2009 (up to $150 value)

         -  Additional 25% discount on every other PMAL sponsored seminar/event scheduled in 2009

 

PMAL also offers the following types of special memberships: 

Student

Full time students currently enrolled in an accredited institution, whose interest in the association is for the purpose of enhancing their knowledge and skills in the field of purchasing management.  Students are not members of the Institute of Supply Management (ISM) and they shall not vote nor hold elected office in the association.  Such members shall not be required to pay dues, but shall pay all other expenses incurred by such members at any meeting.  Many such expenses are offered at a student discount.

This membership type is not for employed professionals.

 

Faculty

Any Teacher, Department Head, Director or Dean of a College, University or other Academic institution who accepts the principles and standards of purchasing practice and whose activities are related to purchasing is eligible for this type of membership; and as such shall be eligible for regular membership in the Institute of Supply Management (ISM) with full membership entitlement to vote and hold elective office in the association.

Such members shall not be required to pay dues, but shall pay all other expenses incurred by such members at any meeting.

 

Trial

Any individual interested in potentially joining PMAL may sign up for a 60 day trial membership.

This type of membership does not provide access to a majority of the associations' website - however it does afford contacts to learn more about what PMAL has to offer.

 

Associate membership

Associate members belong to PMAL only, and do not receive benefits of ISM membership.  Associate membership dues for 2009 are $100/year.
