About PMAL

The Purchasing Management Association of Louisville (PMAL) is a dynamic group of purchasing and supply management professionals in the Kentuckiana area. We are a non-profit association serving the greater Louisville Metro and southern Indiana communities. PMAL is an affiliate of the Institute for Supply Management (ISM - formerly NAPM), based in Tempe Arizona. The Purchasing Management Association of Louisville was incorporated on December 15, 1924, which makes it one of the oldest affiliates of ISM in the nation. Membership Requirements
- Any person who is an Officer of a company and in charge of purchasing.
- A Director or Manager of a Purchasing department.
- An Assistant Supervisor or Buyer in Purchasing research, value analysis, inventory control or other activity or function other than a routine clerical or record keeping function, which is directly related to purchasing.
- All of those whose principle duties are the usual and customary duties performed by a purchasing agent are eligible to become a Regular member of this Association.
